  1. Even if it were put on the market today, since he is asking "a pretty penny" it may be a year or two before it sells. On the other hand it could sell right away. So I would hunt the property as long as, and as often as you can. All the while, looking for the next hunting property. Also, I would hunt, while doing minimal work or improvements. Cause you may get the boot at any time. Tough situation, hope it all works out for you.
  2. Back up to normal or above normal temps after the weekend. Almost halfway through February, another four to six weeks and we can put this winter behind us!
  3. Been using this type of orange vest and hat for years. Breaks up your outline for deer and the blaze orange, can still easily be seen by other hunters in the woods. Being a ground pounder, this works for me. I have a Woolrich coat I picked up at a yard sale for $10 years ago. It is size 2-X but when it's bitter cold and the wind is howling, it's worth it's weight in gold! Just layer up under it.
  4. A couple of soft yelps and purr's from outside the opened door may have worked better. Funny story though!
  5. Ron Rivera is a class act win or lose. Cam Newton not so much. I'm still a Panthers fan.
  6. What does Cam Newton and a Fig Newton have in common? They both crumble under pressure!
  7. Everyone gets sore fingers in the beginning. Keep at it and it gets better once you build up callouses on the tips. Learn the D - C and G major chords and you can play, literally hundreds of songs. Rock on!

  9. The Mrs, and I, our two grandsons, pizza, wings, diet soda and a Panthers win, pretty much sums it up.
  10. If you ever build another guitar, I see a roadtrip in my future to come play it! That would make my bucket list!
  11. They look to be in great shape here too. So, hopefully, the does will have more fawns and the bucks will put on more bone. Being that they won't have to build up as much body weight as the last couple of years. This late into winter, even if we get a couple bad storms, they should go into spring in good shape.
  12. Happy Birthday! Looks like a stellar day to enjoy family, friends and good times! All the best for you today and for the rest of the year too!
  13. I can run a righteous blues scale on guitar but I guess I'm finger challenged on this tablet.
  14. To be able to sit with my wife at the old people's table, for the reception, after my grandsons weddings. And complain about the music being too darn loud!
  15. The BDC reticle to me, is too clustered with all those little circles. I prefer the Duplex reticle on the Leupold or the Nikoplex from Nikon. My hunting rifle is hold center body from 20 to 250 yards. I just like to keep it all simple, like me.
  16. So cool, to see bucks still visiting scrapes at the end of January. Nice pic's!
  17. Who can judge better than the one using the gun? My opinion means nothing, but I like the looks of the 3-9 x 33. Beautiful gun, no matter what sits on top!

    Spam

Does anyone know what SPAM or TREET is actually made of???
  19. I have the Leupold VX-1 on my Savage Axis 7mm/08. For the money, it is perfect for deer hunting. It's clear even in low light and as said above, you can see detail easily at 100 yards. For under $200 I think it is one of the best scopes you can buy.
  20. Congratulations! Very nice late season NJ buck!
