Hi all, i got my first bow deer on Saturday, a small 4 point. Not a big deer, but a big deal for me. I spent a lot of time researching how and what to do, and a lot came from this site, so thank you to those that spend the time educating others. It helps. The shot was about 18 yards and he only went 15 yards. I am very thankful that it went this well. Have to thank a new hunting buddy- Ron who really took me under his wing.

Small 6 pt walked by about 50 yds away in dense cover. Not that I would have taken/made the shot even without the foliage, still cool to see something. Would like a few does to walk by.

First sit of the year. In 1c and only about 10 feet up with this wind. Good luck all.

Thanks all, as I am learning how to bow hunt, things I never considered factors when gun hunting stand out. I guess that is the best way to look at it- a way to level the field.

Thanks for most of the replies guys. Rob, not just noticed, trying to counter as I am a new bowhunter and not afraid to admit I don't know everythng. Probably been outside more than you, and I definitely have better manners.

Hi guys, went out Saturday morning for a ground sit. Did not see anything but did have issues with my breath forming big white clouds in the cold. I had a full facemask on and it didnt help much. Any tips on preventing this? I can't imagine deer will not care about it.

Big 6 or 8 walked by, 70 yds out could not get a good look. I am awake now

Did you ever hear of a result? I have friends there and they say the deer are increasing in number.

Hi all, i am new to the site and am getting more into bow hunting for deer. After a while lurking and learning from all of you, I thought I should join to say thanks and learn some more.
