Shooter 8 on his feet at 0715 and 1157 I’m in stand near him my sons in another close by. Hope he shows up sprayed something tinks , seems to be on by me in 4-0. Good luck all

So I got to my spot, rarely hunt this place, has old abandoned cabin. Obvious sign someone’s been in there foot prints and stuff. Tire tracks. So I sit in my stand and wait, here 10 mins later a topless female around 30 comes walking down the hill to 20 yards. I tell “can I help you”. She hits the ground hands up.
long story short, property owners brother said she could stay there (she’s homeless) property owner is pissed at her brother and her, told her to get her shit out by tomorrow or she will be arrested. Fun times.

Afternoon family plans have changed so I’m free to hunt but man 75 degrees 12 mph winds with heavy gusts just do not have me feeling it at all. Oh also I had 4 wisdom teeth pulled on Monday so my mouth still hurts. My wife has bronchitis and both kids are getting over colds.

First sit of year , have my compound feels good. Weather is crazy 70 cloudy then rain then sun n repeat. I shot a nice 8 pt with my xbow here in 2020 . It was 73 that day. So right place right time. My son in stand overlooking a large pasture. So good luck to all out.

Congrats on the doe! My son is in for a morning sit up on hill behind house. Cloudy and mild. Glad I took off three weeks in November lol. Good luck to those out today. I’ll sit in up a tree this afternoon. First sit this year. Saw a fisher cross in front of car last night . Really cool.

I like Veterans Day ( in that vicinity) for bucks on their feet. But as many have stated deer on the move with a bow is not always great. However this past firearm opening day I shot a nice 8 pt chasing two does all over my property in dark morning. Grunting and just rutting hard. Fortunately he stopped in my cleared opening a 0657 hrs. 45 yards heart shot.

Son back out for pm sit. Different stand saw a few Tom’s working through the oaks. No deer yet. Told him to go turkey hunting! Then you will see deer.

My son is on his day two sit. So far 5 does and 9 hen and poults turkey flock walked under him at 9 yards. Says wether 28 and clear feels Bucky.

Have not made it out yet. But my oldest son is having his first sit, out since first light . So far nada. Good luck to those out . He texted it’s 30 and clear. Perfect morning but not even a tree rat yet.

Just had 6 doe walk by, let them walk. 50 yards broadside. Two bucks already in freezer. Congrats on those bucks taken today. Some nice ones. Congrats on the does, nice healthy meat!

Well I had a shooter 8 come across a 100 acre hayfield and right in the open. Walk like he couldn’t care less. I’m in a tree about 30 yards in woods. He looks like he’s heading up the mountain but once he hits my woods he turns and walks toward me. I sprayed some tinks when he was on other side of wall. He gets to 40 yards and needs to clear one last branch, he winds me and turns and slowly trots up and away. They don’t get big by being easy to kill.
