Thanks. I actually have a cultipacker like this. Still not clear on how a crimper is different, but I will research on my own. I have a pto brush cutter, pto discer, tow spreader for seed and granulated lime, tow cultipacker and chain drag. So I would think I have my bases covered. The driller attachment is highest on my list at this point so I can plant the food plot holy grail of corn. Thanks for taking the time to post the above pics.

We did our traditional Polish Christmas Eve meal for my wife's family. On the menu was cheese tray, shrimp tray, crab dip, horseradish-mayo baked haddock, green bean casserole, 4 types of perogis, lobster tail, cream cheese-potato soup, ice cream cake, cookies, chocolates, et al. We do it buffet style. Pictures aren't the greatest, but here are some.

As part of our branch initiatives we have a one ton AG lime spreader. We are saving to get a 3' Genesis seed drill and we are considering making a crimp roller. All suitable for use behind an ATV/UTV that is 800 cc or larger. Hopefully the banquet gets us over the mark and I get branch volunteers buy in to train and issue/check back in the equipment so it can work out. Thinking about just a small rental fee to just cover insurance, wear items trailer registration and such. That way members can have access to equipment to do small plots and not need to outlay big money. .
Would you have a link to the one ton AG lime spreader and 3' Genesis seed drill? What's the difference between a crimper, a roller and a cultipacker? Thanks.

Have you checked out growing deer tv? He's been running this system for years now and seems to work well building your soil in many ways.
I will have to check that out. Thank you. Funny thing, I own a disc attachment, so I will be bummed if I find out I don't need it.

I had venison shank cacciatore over mashed potatoes. I made it a few weeks ago, portioned it out into plastic soup to go containers, and put them in the freezer. It came out good. No pic because it doesn't look that appetizing. I let it bake for too long, so all of the water in the sauce evaporated and it's a tad dark. But still very tasty, I just add a little water when I reheat it.

Wow, a lot for me. This year, 3S, 3N, 9J and 9K. In my N.Y. hunting career? Add in 3A, 3J, 3C, 3H, 3J, 3F, one or two of 4’s west of Catskills and then chenango county which is 7-something if I remember right.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkBiz, you are the WMU champ. You really do get around.

. . . the seed/fert/lime/spray/crimp method. Some of our most productive plots were done with a few hours of work using a push spreader, hand seeder, and a tow behind sprayer and roller.
Could you elaborate/explain what this process is? So you never disc or break the soil in any way? Do you brush hog it beforehand? Is crimp or roller = cultipacker? Thanks.

Wolc, I think you and @Biz-R-OWorld cover the most distance between WMUs in the same season. That's interesting.

I hope this hasn't been covered before. I thought it would be a good post-season thread topic. How many different WMU's have you ever hunted? In the same season?
I've only hunted in two, 9A and 9M.

Settled into spot number two. This is my first time here in the afternoon. I’ve always seen deer here in the morning but my friend that lives here (also a hunter) says it’s a better afternoon spot. Here’s to hoping he’s right. This morning’s tally was 3 doe (1 at my house and 2 far off in the woods) plus lots of squirrels. It only takes 10 minutes in the right spot at the right time...hope this is it...hope it’s today!
Tried posting that at 1230 but had no service.
So here is what happened...So hungry from starting before dark n not bringing snacks, couldn’t wait for it to be 4pm so I could wrap up n go home to eat. Didn’t see anything but squirrels until 4:05 when 6 doe come crashing into the woods n stop near me. So I want to take the big one and she presents a shot at 35 yards. A bit farther than ideal but I been practicing out to 50. She needs to take one more step and she does. I send it. Looks great. Watching the luminock going right towards the right spot...then I see the arrow turn to the right and stick in a tree. SOB it deflected! $&@#%^*+=•!!! I waited all day for this shot and I missed. Didn’t see the damn twig. Major bummer. Not to mention I haven’t taken a deer yet this season. Still in the skunk club.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkDid any of the doe see you/get spooked? Going back to that same spot?

I don't like Drake..........
How about "Josey" like Josey Wales. That'd be one bad ass dog name!
or Josie, like Josie and the pussycats!

I saw 3 doe at the edge of a small patch of woods, 20 feet from the road, while driving home from KFC in Amherst.

Would anyone be familiar with Wood and Brook Sportsman's Club in Lancaster allowing members to hunt on its 80 acres? Their website mentions the grounds as being open to members for hunting. Total acres is 80; not sure how much of that is huntable, how crowded it gets, etc. Would anyone have any info on this? Thanks.

i should've done this i planted about an acre i got germination and plants starting to grow but deer nipped them off to stubs. as you said no leaves, no chance.
So would the brassicas present edible material earlier than the soybeans, giving the soybeans a chance to establish themselves? Is that the benefit of mixing the two?
