Primary stand until 11. I let it be for a few days and hunter another property. Passed 6 smaller bucks so far. Matter of time until the 3 i have eyes on makes an appearance. Happy with the action.

Lot of movement this afternoon. Saw 3 bucks chasing. Glad to see that the bucks are chasing again. Morning was slow even with the cold but enjoyed the hunt this afternoon. Getting closer. Let a spike and 4 doe walk. Saw 2 beauties. Claw 6 and smoking 8 that I have pics of. He’ll make mistake.

Quiet and a lot of fog. Small spike by itself wandering a first light. Nice and cold and quiet.

Savage 30.06 165gr Rem Accutips with Nikon 3 by 9 by 40. Gun is right on and shoots 1/2 groups to 180. Love this setup.

Clean miss on this 6 at dusk @ 42 yards. Disappointed but it was a tough shot up hill quartering away but shot was true. Just misjudged the distance by a fraction. No blood on arrow. He wasn't spooked much and didn't know what was going on. Happy I didn't hurt him and got out quietly. Going to have some burbon and lick my wounds....

Did the right thing here. Enjoy the meat. I had to kill a deer that a trepasser shot a few years back that was wounded.

He and another 8 just damaged some crops on my prop. Busted up a 3 chestnut trees I planted 4 years ago. He dies now. Appreciate the comments and keep you all posted. A little pissed as i just saw the trees.

Good PM hunt today. Saw 2 small spikes sparing. 7 does. 1 spike did chase lightly. lot of action and woods were beautiful. 2 hit list bucks no show but will be back. -
Found 2 scapes this afternnon and a few rubs. Bucks I've seen have been chasing lightly not full bore yet. It's still early but they're getting started. Cams picking up more.

Maybe that would be the safest bet then and the law couldn't really say anything.

If I was in that situation I think I would shoot it. Just a thought. I know Deer Search can legally shoot a recovered/found deer if it's still alive. They recovered a bad bow shot deer for me quite a few years back and they guy shot it with his .357. The question does remain if they can after legal shooting time.
