  1. I’m not going to air everything out here. You know me better than that. Yes, if he doesn’t renew to domain name it will just go away.

Im glad you all created another forum, I wish you nothing but good luck with it. I hope it doesn’t peter out like most of them do.

Why not just come over and keep the community going? You have been a part of it for a long time. We didn’t create it at least PM the owner he’s been a lurker here for a while… get to know him and see what he is about before you decide to stay here.

  2. It wasn’t him, it’s me. If you all want to go on another forum, that’s fine, but you aren’t going to use this one to steer traffic to it. That’s stepping over the line. Regardless of some people’s feelings about this site, I’m going to moderate it as best I can.

I’ve been frustrated by how things have gone the last couple of years too, but I’m sticking with this ship and seeing if there’s any turning it around.

Does he even respond to you? Is the man even alive? At some point the domain will just disappear if he doesn’t pay….no? What then it’s just gone one day ?

I read a article today about how just cause you test negative doesn’t mean it isn’t COVID.. that essentially symptoms are the body fighting it and with the immunity from vax and information our systems are just primed to fight it off

  4. yea we don't do anything to them because you don't want to scrape or damage the root. Just make sure they're in something that can breathe so they dry out. Otherwise they'll start to rot.

I had it salted and in a paper envelope should be good

  5. Everyone usually has a hard first day at a new job, and it's no different for the kid in this story.  When his manager comes to check on him after his first day, he is disappointed by the number of people the kid has made sales to. See how the kid replies to his boss's outburst.

A young guy from North Dakota moves to Florida and goes to a big "everything under one roof" department store looking for a job.

The manager says, "Do you have any sales experience?"

The kid says, "Yeah. I was a vacuum salesman back in North Dakota."

The manager was unsure, but he liked the kid and figured he'd give him a shot, so he gave him the job.  "You start tomorrow. I'll come down after we close and see how you did."

His first day on the job was rough, but he got through it. After the store was locked up, the manager came down to the sales floor to check on how the kid did on his first day.  "How many customers bought something from you today?"

The kid frowns and looks at the floor and mutters, "One".

The manager replies, "Just one?!!? Our employees average sales to 20 to 30 customers a day.  That will have to change and soon if you'd like to continue your employment here. We have very strict standards for our sales force here in Florida. One sale a day might have been acceptable in North Dakota, but you're not on the farm anymore, son."

The kid took his beating, but continued to look at his shoes. The manager felt kind of bad for chewing him out on his first day. He asked (semi-sarcastically), "So, how much was your one sale for?"

The kid looks up at his manager and says "$101,237.65".

The manager, astonished, says, "$101,237.65?!? What the heck did you sell?"

The kid says, "Well, first, I sold him some new fish hooks. Then, I sold him a new fishing rod to go with his new hooks. Then, I asked him where he was going fishing and he said down the coast, so I told him he was going to need a boat. We went down to the boat department, and I sold him a twin engine Chris Craft. Then he said he didn't think his Honda Civic would pull it, so I took him down to the automotive department and sold him that 4x4 Expedition."

The manager said "A guy came in here to buy a fish hook, and you sold him a boat and a TRUCK!?"

The kid said, "No, the guy came in here to buy tampons for his wife, and I said, 'Dude, your weekend's shot, you should go fishing.'"

Someone has been deleting threads… what’s it you ?

  6. you have to send teeth in for CA to back check your methods. that said once you're at 5.5 it's more theoretical to get to 8.5 yrs old. the replacement and wear method is tapped out. we always do both for anything odd looking, to back check ourselves, for any 4.5+ buck, or any doe with no infundibulum in sight on any tooth. so much of the hard enamel is gone that you'll have variations in wear. also if any abnormality years before like abscess or broken teeth will be hard to distinguish.

It’s going in for CA for sure. Packet was ordered but delayed in shipping front teeth on salt in the fridge

  7. I mostly agree but... Comparing how much work we do when it's hot out vs cool is not what happens in nature. Nature has a time clock, the does NEED to be bred in a short window in order to ensure good fawn survival in the spring. Deer cannot simply wait until it's cool enough for their comfort level. Bucks do not know what "waiting" is this time of year, they know one thing. I had bucks cruising at 3PM today, alone, at what was likely the warmest part of the day. I'm sure it does slow some does down more than it does bucks. I've seen as many bucks cruising mid day at 65-70° than at 40° this time of year. I think it matters more to the hunter than the deer. My .02...

So I 100% agree with you that is slows the does down more than the bucks. The only effect I think it has on us as hunters is if the does stay put later into the day you will have less travel out of the wandering bucks. As far as bucks go they were absolutely making the rounds scent checking bedding areas this afternoon

  8. So I got to my spot, rarely hunt this place, has old abandoned cabin. Obvious sign someone’s been in there foot prints and stuff. Tire tracks. So I sit in my stand and wait, here 10 mins later a topless female around 30 comes walking down the hill to 20 yards. I tell “can I help you”. She hits the ground hands up.
long story short, property owners brother said she could stay there (she’s homeless) property owner is pissed at her brother and her,  told her to get her shit out by tomorrow or she will be arrested. Fun times.

Oh and how the heck did you not snap a pic first
