  1. Went and pulled my trail cams this afternoon, did it early because this upcoming weekend looks a little messy. Captured either a 6 or 7 on one of the cams. It's been my experience based on hunting here for over thirty years you don't see many bucks too much bigger than this in this particular area. I think many factors cause this, available feed and in my opinion the young bucks don't get much of a chance to mature getting harvested as soon as they are of legal antler length. PS: Other little hunters were also active in this field!
  2. Yes--More bucks this year on camera--I am optimistic but as you know after the first shot the bucks hunker down especially in this area of 4H
  3. Yes--in the Heldebergs-higher elevation
  4. At least four different bucks so far and coyotes are active too.
  5. I put them up on the 4H section and the trail cam section
  6. Lots more activity lately
  7. So far it works good--have to see how it goes in cold weather
  8. Good looking buck-I think at least a 6 walked past one of cameras last night (August 3)
  9. I know quality is poor but any guesses what this is. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Seeing some movement recently. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Love it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. No movement whatsoever on my trail cam in Rensselaerville going on three days and nights now. Only thing moving was the farmer cutting the field for hay. Hoping to see some critters soon.
  13. Still a lot of snow on the ground in Rensselaerville--even the tractor path to the fields was not accessible due to the built up snow bank. Did see a deer cross right in front of, crossing the road as I drove up. Deer looked healthy besides the tough weather this past winter.
  14. Supposed to get more this Wednesday into Thursday--I will have to get some trail cams in after the snow melts a bit to see how the deer faired.
  15. Heavy Snow in 4H- over 30 inches of snow down--Here is a farmer digging out his feeders so the cattle can chow down. Taken 3-3-18
