My wife and I stopped buying gifts for each other that are purely materialistic. Anything we want and that is financially sensible, we usually don't have the patience and just buy it for ourselves then and there. Now our gifts usually involves some kind of dinner, night out, spa, etc.

I try my best to pick up my empty shells when I hunt. Most of the trash I see in the woods, I doubt came from hunters. Like, Papist, I too have see old toilets and appliances in the woods. I highly doubt a hunter will carry in a toilet while hunting and then forget to take it out with them. As far as emissions, the cattle industry is the biggest threat to the greenhouse. More of a reason you should get your meat from hunting.

$200 for wooden tracks and stations. I work for Jews so our offices are open today but I waited for him to open his gifts and strolled into work late. At least it's Sabbath so I don't have to stay in the office too long. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It will depend on how airguns will be regulated. Currently, airguns for small games are allowed in areas that are shotgun only zones. That's where the advantage comes in as I much rather headshot a squirrel at 75 yards with an airgun than have to come within 40 yards with a shotgun and then pick out pellets afterwards. Just not enough for me to plunk down over a grand for one. But if it's anything like how they regulate a crossbow where it is pretty much treated like a rifle, then I see no sense in getting one. Currently, crossbows are not allowed in Westchester which is a bow only. For me to use a crossbow, I would have to go to areas where they allow rifles and shotguns and so for that, I'd rather just bring my rifle instead. Gaining a 2 week head start is not worth it for me. Now if they allow crossbows in bow only zones...or airguns in bow only zones...oh, heck yeah I would drop the coin for it. But these advantages isn't in the weapon itself but how DEC treats the weapon. I will wait to see the details in the regulations and see if they stick before I make a decision.

Every Savage I've seen comes with that sticker on it.

I did have a city pigeon before. Didn't taste bad at all. Sort of like a goat steak or a cheap cut of beef with a slight gamey/minerally taste. I only had a couple of nibbles just to appease the curiosity. Didn't finish it out of fear of disease. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, head shots only. I hit one in the boiler room and almost completely ripped it in half. A hole the size of a quarter all the way through the center of the body. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

There's a rehearsal and during the rehearsal, he practiced announcing a 2nd and 1st runner up before announcing the winner. In a live statement, he did say he rehearsed but forgot. In the end though, as much as people are making fun of him, you have to admit, he didn't make any excuses and took full responsibility. Here is the Post Press Conference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcvO7XGqvV8

In the winter, I wear the same cold weather gear I use for deer which is usually real tree pattern. During the fall, my camo is usually blue jeans and a comfortable sweat shirt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My dad likes to cut meat when they're semi-frozen. Soft enough so that it can be cut but hard enough that it'll hold a solid shape and won't flop around as you cut. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He might have. I can't type as quietly when my other two arms are holding a bow at full draw. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Just got busted by a 4 pointer. His head made it into the clearing but wouldn't take another step. Stood for literally only a couple of seconds and that was all he needed to realize something wasn't right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Milk Stout. Was actually pretty good. Coincidentally, matches my wife's iPhone and Fitbit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

When I first started hunting, I've zeroed my 22LR out to 100 yards and have taken squirrel that far. Of course I also missed a bunch of head shots that were much closer. I've since changed the zero to 50 yards and that will still maintain accuracy out to 75 yards before I notice some drop off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I use a Ruger 10/22 in synthetic stock as my workhorse 22 so I have to agree with everyone else so far. My bro uses the Marlin XT-22 and has been real happy with it.
