When you hunt in the woods sometimes its not exactly obvious that those little branchs are in the way . You dont always notice them .

When i hunt public . Depending on if I see a lot of cars in the lot or not I will hunt differently or drive to differrent location That is less crowded.

What would be the smallest caliber you would personal use for deer ? I only have used traditional deer calibars like 30-06 or similar powered calibars . Dont see why anyone would use anything else unless they only had one gun and did not want to buy a gun specifically for hunting purposes.
