  1. No one won and the American people lost. Disgusting, embarrassing and how even people with orange colored glasses can be impressed by that is beyond me. No winners all losers....300 million of them.
  2. Def don't take it for granted. If I lost my spot in 7F I would be back to state land or knocking on doors. Me and a buddy have a lease and the owner is just an great guy. We are def very lucky to have it. We don't have a bunch of giant bucks but enough to keep us happy. We are happy to take a doe in a year and fill the freezer and have the feeling that you never know when a good one might step out. And just being able to hunt a spot and not have to worry about others out there. That would suck to lose a spot right before season. I am glad they gave me a years head notice.
  3. Big boy in body and head gear Hope you bring him down!
  4. No it's about 30 minutes away. The lease in 7F I will still have and that's 6 minutes away. I had more action in 7F last season but def hate to lose the spot, but happy I have what I have still. And have this season yet.
  5. What do you use for bait for Chuck's?
  6. Sounds like this one is still running. Usually in a cornfield blood is easy to find on the stalks. Plus that it took off as soon as the guy got down from the stand.
  7. That sounds like an awesome trip. I've been to lake Lila a couple of times but it was like 30 years ago. Beautiful area and there were brookies in there too. Also we fished a small stream there if I remember right and caught some brookies Best of luck and sounds like an adventure. And one of my bucket list things is to come back with a deer in a boat.
  8. wow thats baggin them! Nice day. And those dogs look tired , i bet they had a blast!
  9. looks like one of the cooler openers in a long time. Not taking it off but going after work. A quick superman change in the office and in the groundblind in 15 minutes.
  10. This will be my view Thursday after work.
  11. Did you get a ram? Looks awesome
  12. Going to be a little bit of a bittersweet season. I have found out that I will no longer be able to hunt the area in 6S that I have hunted for the last 10-11 years after this season. No fault of mine just a change in what's happening there. No hard feelings and I have been lucky to get to hunt it and take my biggest buck ever there. I will still have the lease in 7F and will be set with that and a stand in 7J to hunt occasionally. It was a good bow spot for sure and I will miss being there. But I was less disappointed than I thought I might be. So I will enjoy this season and move on and feel lucky to have what I still have to hunt.
  13. Welcome back. Sounds like a good time out squirrlin How'd you cook em up? I haven't had any in a long time. But my dad did a raguout with them that was good. And a buddy of mine shakes and bakes them. And uses dipping sauces.
  14. Was my worst year in over 10 years after having my best year in 2018. Planning on making up some ground this season!
  15. Are your finger prints on them all? If so asking for a friend that will take them.
  16. Those are doe killers. See who says does aren't a challenge just gotta try something new.
  17. Go get em. Only takes the right time one time. Good luck and hope you get one for a this year pic
  18. Thanks. That would be great. Earliest I've taken a deer is Oct 12. But an early doe to stock the freezer would be awesome. Cause I have a feeling that damn 4 point that always walks out early is in trouble this year. As much as I hate to burn my buck tag early, prob not holding back much this season.
  19. Cart is in the truck. Next pic from here will have a deer on this tailgate!
  20. Sounds like Luna gave it all she could. A success either way with a recovery. You got them in the immediate area for sure
  21. 2&3 together sounds good. Would be honored to have them as team mate's.
