Papist - You can say what you want. I agree its not for everyone. It's a lot of work to make money, and I don't have the time nor the desire to do it. I made my initial investment back and now get free energy every single month. I can rejoin at anytime to become a consultant again to collect residuals if I wanted. The fact is that in NY you are guaranteed to save at least 1% as a customer. Regarding consultants, there are thousands of people making money. My future father in law, for example, makes over $3k/month every single month. It is a nice supplementary income for him. There are people making way more than him.

Comparing legal shooting time to driving the speed limit
BizCT replied to regulat0r's topic in General Hunting
I said it once and I'll say it again. I don't see how the speed limit is a relevant comparison. If you want to compare to cars, it would be leaving the starting line early in a race. It's cheating. 1+ min past the legal time on the last day of the season means you shot a deer out of season. So to me there is no difference between a deer shot out of season by 1min, 30min, or 6 months in the middle of June. To those of you can shoot a deer out of season and be proud with it on your wall, that's your choice. But I just couldn't do it. -

I don't believe so. I think there are record books bears based on skull that are in the 200lb range. Similar to mt lions. You can shoot a 130lb record book lion in New Mexico or a 180lb record book lion in Alberta. The weight depends on the climate, food, etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I'm not too familiar with PA; not sure if it's a guaranteed savings plan like NY. Below is the info. http://ww2.ambitenergy.com/rates-and-plans/service-areas/pennsylvania-energy-providers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Weight wise they are huge in Nj, but I wonder how they score skull wise for record books. I would think not much better than a big skulled 300lb Canadian bear Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I'd vote for a simple penalty. You poach in NY, you lose your hunting privileges for life.

Yea I don't know the numbers behind it. Just find it interesting that some people out there have to draw for every species. If choosing good units, Might hunt deer once every 4-5 years, elk once every 9 years, antelope once every 12 years, etc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What about a draw system in NY? Imagine NY was like Arizona or other states where you don't get a buck tag every single year. Might only get a buck tag every 3-4 years or more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

From Boone & Crockett website: SHED ANTLERS/SPLIT SKULLS** Shed antlers and trophies whose skull plates have been sawn in half are not eligible for entry in the Club's Awards Programs and/or records books, regardless of how well they have been "restored." Similarly, trophies with antlers that have been "pegged" for removal and easy transportation cannot be scored for entry in B&C. This is because the inside spread (greatest spread on moose), which is an integral part of the final score of antlered trophies, cannot be accurately determined in either case. If a Measurer suspects that a set of antlers he or she is measuring is comprised of a set of shed antlers or split within the mount, he or she should contact the Club's headquarters for instructions on x-raying that trophy. A Measurer must be present at the time x-rays are taken to take immediate possession of them and forward them to B&C headquarters. All X-rays are taken and mailed to B&C headquarters at the expense of the trophy owner. This policy applies to trophy specimens of all deer, caribou, moose, and elk, as well as pronghorn. Trophies with skull plates that have been shattered or split by shooting, dropping, etc., are eligible for entry so long as the pieces fit perfectly back together. Such trophies can only be scored by members of the Club's Records Committee or its designated representatives.

Not sure how accurate, but I found this http://www.windyridgetrapper.com/index.php?p=1_12_wild-fur-dealer-buyer-west-virginia-fox-raccoon-beaver-muskrat-grading-grades as of about a month ago.
