  1. Winchester M70 Featherweight in .308 wearing a Weaver Grand Slam 3-12x42 or a Ruger M77 Hawkeye in .270 wearing a Leupold VX-2 4-12x40. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  2. I've had good luck with Hornady SST 250 grain in front of 2 pellets of IMR White Hots with a Remington STS primer. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  3. That is an amazing group. Awesome job. I don't think I've ever made a group that small. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  4. Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. Looking to buy my hunting license this weekend. I can't wait. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  5. That's a great idea I'm a member of Stillwater Rod and Gun Club, which is where I go shooting. I've met a few friendly people there, but haven't found anyone willing to let me tag along with them. I know hunting circles can be very tight and the last thing I want to do is sound rude or pushy. I'm pretty easy going and I've had some cool conversations with people at the range just swapping stories. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
  6. So I've been lurking on this forum for awhile and finally decided to join. I really love the friendliness of all the members and all of the info and hunting stories. I'm 29 years old and moved to NY a couple years ago when I left the Navy. I currently live in Saratoga county in Ballston Spa. I really don't do any hunting, but I am extremely interested. I hunted a long long time ago with my dad when I was a teenager in Wisconsin where I grew up and haven't hunted since. I love the outdoors, shooting, and especially fishing. Since moving here I've been looking for someone to mentor me on hunting because alot of that was lost when I was younger because of my family moving around alot as I was growing up. I'm willing to learn as much as I can from anyone who's willing to teach me. I've read books, watched countless videos, and researched everything as much as I can. I still feel a little intimidated by going by myself. It's like driving. You can read books and watch videos on how to drive, but you never really learn to drive until you do it. I hope I can make a few friends on the forum and maybe even meet new hunting buddies. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
