After talking to a dealer and doing a little more research I've decided a sub-compact will serve my needs. The dealer recommended i stay with a John deere or kubota. He gave me a website with youtube video's after watching a bunch of them i'm leaning towards the John deere 1025R it gets some really good reviews.Anyone have any experience pros and cons?
For implements i've narrowed it down to the front loader bucket,a set of forks and a snow pusher with back pull.
I’ve got a few hours on my 1025r. If you want to chat about it PM me and I will give you my phone number.

Decent movement today in 6R. Ventured out after being at work for 25 straight hours chasing all of the outages. Small bucks cruising and following all the does that strolled through.
Good afternoon to be in the woods.
Double lunged at 26yds. Raptor tricks did there job.
I put the hydro tractor/lawn mower to work for the recovery!!

What are your thoughts on hanging a stand late now? I have a new spot that I have had a consistent 8am , 5pm shooter buck.
I want to get in there tomorrow and hang a stand and start hunting it Sunday.
will the noise and commotion cause an issue? I am thinking hanging it around 10am off peak time
thoughts ?

If that picture is from your property and you want to preserve your hemlock trees, than kill that porcupine. They will destroy hemlock trees at a alarming rate.
My property has very few good hemlocks on it and the porcupines are the major cause.

Throw bow in car and can’t find release. I remember throwing it in there at Gman’s but can’t find it. SOB. It’s in there but where ? I call sodfather as only 5 houses away to borrow one. Treeguy on way to spot. No body answers Daughter babysits for SF so I have her call his wife to ask him. Minute later he meets me at end of his driveway. Lone doe crossed little ridge at just before legal. Doe n 3 fawns at 27 but no shot on her as they went down small ridge. 5 big doe and 4 fawns just came in to 15 but so many eyes and I’m sitting naked on 6 foot platform I was afraid to move. Finally have shot and draw but fawn directly behind her. I let off and one boots taking the rest with her. Tails everywhere. Oh well , from no release to covered in deer.
I’ve never forgotten my release, but I have forgotten my stabilizer before. I have a quick disconnect so that my bow fits in my SKB case. A mile in on the backside of a swamp and in the tree and I realized it wasn’t on the bow. Good times, I let 3 does walk that evening.

Things add up....
Smoking (nicotine) and caffeine are both vasoconstrictors, which reduce you blood flow to your extremities....don't overdo the coffee, chocolate, etc. before you go out. Make sure your boots arent ight. As already mentioned, keep em dry, and avoid cotton like the plague...its absorbent, but like a sponge, it holds moisture (including sweat) which will chill you. I love merino wool socks, and wear them year round. For hunting, I get heavier cold weather socks (might be expensive, but get a few pairs and save them, they last a long time). The warmest boots I ever had were a pair of the Cabelas 2000 gram rubber boots. They are absoluetly water proof and with the wool socks, warm for me all season. Because they are rubber, they don't breath, so plan on changing your socks several times a day.
Last, be sure to cover up your head and neck. Heat lost there will also be felt at your feet.
This is a great post!! If your choice of boots are rubber and a long walk is in order a change of socks is always a good thing to have in your pack. Eating before going out in the stand will also bring your body temp down. I drink coffee every morning I get up to go to work. When I hunt I never have coffee or anything to eat until the sun comes up and I know I'm comfortable in the stand.
No joke Baffin Boots are the real deal. Expensive but well worth it!

Congrats, thank you for rescuing this thread. After how many pages of dull reading today, "someone could have tapped me on my shoulder every 5 minutes. Nobody speaks English anymore, Would anybody tell me I was gettin stupider"
Again congrats and best of luck to all for the rest of the season
Cheers,
Jsin
P.S.
To anyone that can identify the quote I shall promise a steak dinner and drinks at one of the best Steak establishments in Saratoga Co....

I started using a jet sled and aluminum atv ramps a while back. Works well, and the jet sled helps contain most of the mess.

Is this still for sale is a better question?
Do you travel near the Schenectady/Albany area?

I shoot that hog all the time but usually try to ignore the spot they have for 3D and treat it like a deer shooting for the pocket. Seems more solid than rinehart deer I bought in the past.
I agree, the coyote at 30 yards is my new favorite to shoot at.
