  6. New cell cam..not sure I could do cell..to many photos any one with one have any input..I was getting 1500 plus photos a week..
  7. Had one standing watching me burn a building to the ground sat..maybe it was trying to get warm..never seem to be around like that when I have gun in my hand
  8. My friend had one and wasnt putting bag over pin hole poker to create vacuum.. easy mistake .
  9. I agree with what he says. I also believe strongly that a more balanced deer herd will cause earlier drops as all doe are bred and testosterone drops
  10. Fabric, wood, tarpaper.. something people cant just look into. Most people will stop if they think someone is there.. havent seen a trespassed yet walk by a blind they know they are in the wrong.. though stopping ng NY and putting up a orange flag making. Tracks around it in snow something to make someone think its occupied a lot. I've even seen people put a junk car in a drive way and have neighbor move it or make tracks in and out of driveway.. I do not recommend putting up. Chain on a drive or attempt to barricade an entrance.. all that does is advertize no one is there
  11. Although I will say this it takes respect from that person as well to abide by your rule or wishes.. my other neighbor ( since moved away) started well till everytime i came down to hunt him and his friends were in my stands .. i explained 1 more time i would be down. On weekends and he could not be on it then. It ended with me telling him he lost all right to be on it after i cought him doing activities out of season. He moved shortly after and new neighbor is great, plows my driveway maintains trails, and fixes my car as well as is available to lend a hand when asked.. he doesnt hunt but likes to ride his side by side ..I allow it as I have about 11 miles of trail from June 1st to labor day. He follows this rule exactly .but it was nice when he can come get me 3/4 of a mile back in the woods to help drag out a deer on a hot day.. saved me a long walk to get the tractor .
  12. The pipeline is at least 42inches deep you wont hit it..an easement allows that line thru there but it is still your property you can plow it and seed it. It would be a prime spot as deer are creatures of edge and you get a lot of edge with a nice plot that deer feel safe in as it's just a jump to cover.. the drawback is people will walk easements and right of ways.. it's still. Tresspassing but it makes it a bit harder to control as they can come in from several properties away. Also used by snowmobile and atvs sometime the sleds have an agreement for row for a trail but ATV do not and again can come from long way.. Sometimes a strategically placed blind at each end of the property that is visible can sometimes be a good deterrent to keep trespassers off
  13. When I bought my place in 93 the one neighbor said he had hunted it for 30 years and asked if he could continue to do so. Having a job. That was only off on weekends I gave him. The ok mon thru Thursday as I would be out for weekend with my family. He was much appreciative. As the years went by I got to know he was a ww2 sniper, pretty good muzzleloader gunsmith and great shot. Had a wind storm that took all the vinyl skirting of the trailer by the time I got down on weekend it was all picked up and tied in bundles on my deck. George has since moved and passed away and one day I got a call from his son and wife . Seems his last wish was to have his ashes spread where he love to be his tree stand. I granted that request as well . A few years later his wife passed and both their ashes are under his favorite tree. I feel honored to. Have gotten to know this man and his family and savior the knowledge he passed on on tuning and maintaining my muzzleloader. It could of gone completely different had I just said nope I am only one hunting it.. you never know what will happen but do not not give yourself a chance to see possibilities.
  14. Who. Do you have to the air brushing or is a vinyl graphic?
  15. Some of you may want to get In on this
  16. The only issue there is the frontage home.owners.. they tend to think all they see is theirs to hunt. Sometimes allowing them when your not there in exchange for keeping eye on place or mowing driveway or plowing it is a good way to go.. my advice is meet the neighbors well before season and dont just start with well my.land so beat it. Sometimes they are much more beneficial to you as friends ..they may have equipment to put in plots or mow trails.. my one neighbor booted the rear neighbor off his property the rear neighbor owned an L shape piece and was simply cutting the corner.. long story short when he shot a nice buck and it ran onto L shaped piece he was not able to retrieve it even with dec trying for him..had he simply asked and talked to see where guy was going he may never of had that problem..
  17. The list of top states for big whitetails overall hasn’t changed much in the last few decades, but the number of B&C giants shot has exploded; in fact, new states are now shooting more B&C bucks than hunters in the top dozen states were tagging just a few decades ago. In case you’re wondering, Michigan and Nebraska tied for 13th place overall with 49 typical whitetail bucks making book since 2000. Arkansas was 14th and, this might be a little surprising, Mississippi and Pennsylvania were 15th and 16th, respectively—as this article was being written Mississippi had 37 typical whitetails make book since 2000 and Pennsylvania had 32. (They both beat Oklahoma’s 27.)Even New York state, which has some areas with antler-point restrictions, had 21 bucks make the B&C book since 2000. Still, the restrictions aren’t the explanation, as many of the bucks that made book from New York weren’t shot in the antler-point restriction area. Rather, antler-point restrictions are part of a statewide discussion among hunters in general that fosters an awareness that causes more hunters to pass on young bucks.
  18. Let me know when your ready to try real archery I can knap you a set of these and make up some cedar arrows with bone inserts for nock
  19. If I think it's cold it's to cold to hunt anything
  20. Moog. I agree my uncle has gone to iowa for 7 years now he still hasn't shot anything bigger than hes taken here 150in or so.. i see the same buck in about every magazine and if you read the back of DVDs most of the deer the experts are taking are all in gross score.. 150 160s.. 170 and up are usually flaunted no matter what state they come from
  21. Here is what he made up.to 2008. Add 10 more years and it 1.2 or .3 million.. The only one making money from the Hanson buck is Milo Hanson. Even then, the money isn't as much as you'd think. Hanson told Outdoor Life in 2008 that he made $600,000 in 10 years off the deer. That's a huge amount of money, but not as much as many hunters suspected.
