nope since my opinion cant move it ill go out and hunt. i just find it funny people love it so much when you hunt thick stuff you cant see far or well you depend on your ears more than your eyes ..snow removes that sense. for visual hunters that dont use their ears they dont know the difference only stating they can see better...with our narrow binocular vision you can miss a lot even with snow..but sound is 360... -

ugh.. hate it..guys take far shots..blood drops through the snow and idiots think they missed.. find lots of dead lost deer when there is snow. cant hear them.coming and it it warms up and refreezes its so crunchy they can hear you coming from next county. and its freaking cold.. uncomfortable to sit in if its not frozen under snow your boots get muddy and or wet and freeze to the stand and make noise when you move. if it hangs on the limbs you cant see and your open lanes are no longer open... drat ...id rather not have it -
my gun is sighted for me and i cant my.gun . im left handed if a right hander picks it up the crosshairs will be way off.. i think of it as gun security .. no one wants to borrow it even better as a left handed bolt..

we use to have 9 layer lasagna night before opening day. would take the whole day before and cook down the sauce before adding 20lbs if cheese and 20 lbs of sausage and ground beef and cook it up.. that all ended with the sat opener not.enough prep time when most dont get down till after work and later on fri night.. now no true meal.before opening day.. the rest of camp food depends how many and who is in camp..

some henry and some older winchesters and remington top eject..and henry winchester and remington many times the frame is not as strong as a marlin built before 2007 this limits you to factory ammo.. my marlin i 45-70 frame is so overbuilt that when i asked the factory i can use compressed loads designed for singleshot rifle out of it that would blow apart a lesser frame.. after remington bought them they dropped the steel and you will blow the frame up with then almost 50k difference in pressure allowed from marlin to a remlin..

Handgun as a primary hunting weapon.
G-Man replied to Nytracker's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
i have used a hand gun as a primary weapon many times in muzzleloader season.. 50 cal 90 grains of powder in a knight pk pistol. pushing a 300 grain .442 bullet works like a charm and much lighter than carrying a rifle around. still effective to 90 yards with a side of tree as a rest. 50yards off hand. -
i was told a lobg time ago by an old timer who has long ago gone to the happy hunting ground . put another round into them..better to lose 5 lbs of meat than the entire deer.. this applys to all things bigger than a rabbit...

really over 400k licenes sold and buck take is usually around 150k so how the hell do 50% of hunters fill both tags when obviously less than half of available buck tags are even filled?? its simple want older buck on your property make a section thick and nasty and stay the heck out of it.. dont hunt it push it let them feel/be safe there . food plots and other things are not anywhere near as important as this. ask your self where are the bigges bucks taken .an isolated stand of 3 trees in middle of a field or next to the barn or you see them.laying in the neighbors lawn that doesnt allow hunting.. unless a novice hunter stumbles upon that huge buck in the middle of the field and kills it no one will go there because we know nothing would be there ... a sancutary is the key to older deer..or just close your property to hunting for a few years and see all the deer that will hide in it to escape hunting pressure ...

you should rethink not shooting that doe with fawns in tow especially if they are twin buttons.. females are king of the woods and they are the ones to kick their young bucks out of the area so there is no inbreeding.. when you kill a doe with young buttons they only know their mother home range and because she is not there to kick them out they stay.now you see more 1.5 year olds. at this point a mature buck will puch them to fringes of their range but they age another year if you pass on them and soon your seeing many more 2.5 year olds.. again they stay kn their home range from being a fawn as momma not there to drive them out.. this fawn range often becomes their core area as they age. we have done this for years and many times all we see for a week are the young bucks following their old mommas patterns.. fortunatly we have a piebald gene and many deer are easy to identify by marks or stocking feet.. or double throat patch.

just as man ages an puts on weight.. but at 21 he is considered adult though a 40 year old can look bigger or smaller individual deer will age and develop differently. unless i have a photo of previous years to tell hin at 3.5 4.5 or 5.5 or older is near impossible when looking at a single photo..

tough to tell but mature 3.5 plus prolly.older
