I have upgraded a bow 2x in 30years.. from an oneida strike eagle, to a Mathews mq32 , to mathews drenalin. I felt the technology changed enough to warrent it. I also upgraded from a shotgun to rifle when they became allowed. Other than that I still wear my original skyline camo. ,use the same knife my father used. I have hang on stands that are 25 years old.. and unless something wears out like boots I wear them into the ground.. never got into the gimmick of scent control. The wind takes care if that and a shower.. or of calls and other things that you must have via tv..

Perhaps a trade for Nick foles is in the works.. a 1st and 3 and 4th? ..

A 30-30 wpuld be Better than sitting with a .223 and having a 4 or 500 lbs bear walk by shoot it and have it come at you. You will enjoy hunting more learning how to get close to game and hunt. Vs target shooting at range.. something special being able to see the whiskers on a deer with no scope and taking the animal. The American Indian bow was only.abput 30 to 35 lb pull but they lived and thrived using it to take game by getting close.. shooting something something at 500 yards or more may give you a kill but the excitement that comes from close encounters is what it's all about.. Indian warriors were held in high regard if they could sneak in and touch an enemy..

The round is used to kill by the military at ranges out to 1000meters well over 800 yards. And deer are about equal hard to kill as a person. Like I said the gun can always out shoot the shooter.. 30.06 held the record for longest kill shot at 1600 yards in ww2 untill 50 cal was used. Personally I like a margins for error and a bigger wound channel. And I enjoy getting very close to game. My average kill shot is under 25 yards.

It's all about bullet type, bullet placement,and your skills as a tracker.. you can ,place a kill shot at 800 yards. But can you find where deer was and track it from a small wound that may leave little for a blood trail? The gun can always out shoot the hunter.. ( cue the every one I shoot drops in its tracks guys)

Excellent..that will let us pick up a nother veteran ( keenum ,bridgewater,or Bradford ) at a lower rate and still.draft linemen I do not see us moving up to take a qb.nor starting a rookie .. they want to win now and in future.

Haven't been to in years .went last year as they wanted a buck I have for display.. was very disappointed.. great if your lookin for a trip.. but large objects have taken over the show.. I liked the mom and pop shops that sold stuff.. the u are long gone

After I get my freezer full and have tags left .I've given it to friends, family , friends of family, and the random co worker who hasn't shot game in years., though if I'm giving it away it's usually the entire deer or turkey I don't process it for them . Funniest one was an old school friend who simply made a post on fb looking for venison ( he doesn't hunt) text him back and said I'd have one for him that evening.. he was in shock when I called and he had hour drive to come get it. Gave him one ever year when he text until he text he wanted one ..so i shot one tfhat day and found out he was in. Los vegas..don't do that anymore...

This buck was eight and a half by tooth ring Dec aged him at 3.5. I knew he was at least 7.5 from sheds I had found.tooth wear analysis and body characteristics only.get you to 3.5 or 4.5 age plus.. there are to many variables past that. Only true way Is tooth ring (cementum) aging and yes his tines were twice as tall the year before and he was always just an 8pt.

I have over 2400hours of early Chicago and zydeco blues. Many artist I guarantee no,one hear has heard of.

I listen to big band thru the early 90s alternative and hip hop.. a few songs in the 2000s but those are from bands established in the 80s 90s or 70 or even 60s.. todays mass produced music is bad.. the hey day by far was the 60's thru the 90s.. heck I even lisent to some stuff from the 1900 to 1920s.. can't beat some ledbelly on wax cylinders.. still better than the crap coming out today

The artist today is picked because they look good .. songs are written in mass in Nashville for an artist.. there is no attachment to the song from them they just"sing it" now before you say well SO and so write their own music some do... but its really in more of rarity these days.. and the few that do seem to have a crossover into pop as they don't fit the Nashville narrative and are almost spurred by them

George straight is old counrty .. again a versiin because white man cant play the blues...Most are not singing country ..they have very limited range. And 90% of country songs like blues are talking.. not singing.

I don't listen to any country or rap. On purpose.. idiots play it in bar on juke box so I skip every.song they play..

Underwood made the music scene thru a voice contest and was pigeon hole as a country singer.. she was under contract when that was done she move to what she wanted to do and is good at Pop! Kelly Clarkson was the opposite started with pop contract and went counrry..she can't sing.. . Garth Brooks the famed coi try guy started rock couldn't make it went country.... over 21 artists have left rock and gone to country at some point in their careers.. usually because they don't make it in rock/pop. I can find 2 that came from country and play rock/pop now.. Katie Perry and Carrie Underwood.. and that success is questonalable considering today's pop....

You have to remember fogerty was writing for hippies thay were high. He had to repeat himself many times...

Basically ..country artists can't sing..that's why they do country...

Strict discipline when my nephews were young made them listen to me when they got older no questions asked.. my sister in law has no control over her kids and is amazed they listen to me. She talks to them like adults in college in a debate.. I talked with my hand..

So many nwtf banquets... crazy.. I liked it before when there were at most 1 per county.. now it's seems quality of items has dropped off as well

I don't use decoys at all I'm usually set up in woods 50 yards or so from the roost. I've hunted same land for 25 plus years and know where to be.. I am. Probably the only guy on her that doesn't hunt a field edge either. .. to many things to go wrong with a decoy and to many visual obsticals to over come in a field. I don't use blinds either.. I move if need be .and a blind and carrying more things doenst work for me personally

So many memorible hunts..many with youth..some with old friends no longer with us. But always most memorable when with some one or several people. The man that taught me to turkey hunt ( god rest his soul these amny uears) use to tell me you would kill so many more birds if you hunted just by yourself instead of taking 2 or 3 others with you!! .. I looked at him and said but that is what I enjoy the most!!!
