What would you say works better, duck decoys or calls or both? I don't know because I am a newbie. Also, what do you think about solar backpacks? Do they help with hiking? I saw some reviews here and I am kind of interested because I often go hiking for long periods of time.

Meat is usually the best alternative choice as it is a great attractant for a coyote on a long distance. However, I use the Milligan's Tutti Fruitti Coyote Proof Animal Lure. It's deliciously sweet and exotic flavor is definitely attracted yotes.
