A good/great set would be stuff from Sitka... id suggest Cabelas MT050 as well... and can usually find it in the bargin cave for pretty cheap

I shoot the 250g out of my encore...u will not find a better performing bullet... iv never been a fan of the sst/shockwaves ... lack of bloodtrails, bullets not expanding... u wont have any of those issues with the barnes... lots of blood and huge wound channels

Bh209 and barnes bullets

Bh209 recommends the CCI09M... they dont recommend any of the muzzleloader primers (triple 7, rem kleanbore, fed fusions etc)

Crud ring wont cause hang fires... flash channel in your breech plug prolly had carbon buildup... as for crud ring with bh209.. never had that issue so i cant help ya with that
