Hi, I was only put on to this site today and already I am impressed.

There is some good information here and everyone seems to 'play nice'.

I moved to the US over 8 years ago and have become addicted to deer hunting. I call myself a 'bow hunter' first and a 'gun hunter' second (I only use a muzzleloader during all gun seasons, I'm in a non rifle zone anyway).

I look forward to a long interaction with the site.

I'd be contented with a decent pic of him also. I didnt believe it when the landowner of the land I hunt told me he had seen a 12 point that looked close to 250lb on his property. I figured he was over quessing the spread and weight, until I saw it on the last day of muzzleloader season at about 300 yards away. Too far for me to take an ethical shot but close enough to take my breath away, and to give me 'hope' for the last three seasons (I have seen it every year since, either at vast distances or after the season).

welcome ted........good luck in your pursuit of the 12. i am in your area as well (lancaster) with parents that live in cambria. we hunt in bolivar though.
