first day of second hunting season ive been in a large 8 starts walking down a trail i didnt know exsisted(just randomly picked a spot on edge of field) i bring my rifle to full cock ( its a flintlock) put the bead right on him..touch the hair trigger...CLICK.BOOM smoke deer goes running about 10 yards and stops and looks at me...

i stay superstill not even taking my head off stock he turns away and slowly walk away nose to the ground tail down like nothing ever happened the minute he turned away i pour another charge get primed and cocked and look for him...and hes gone forever

moral of the story: dont get buck fever/ im bringing 2 flintlocks so i can just pick up the other gun and fire

the day you dont get the fever you should quit hunting. You learn to contain your self after a few times of it.Breath deep and focus on your target spot only. Not the whole deer.

It helps to run a little then do some push ups just before target shooting.Get the heart pumping real good to simulate your adrenalin rush.
