Logging

Looking to clear out just a few acres of timber. Does anyone know if loggers would be interested in that few acres? My guess would be they want the big lots. Amish maybe?

What do you consider as a few? We did 9 acres sum years ago and a neighbor just did 12...loggers didn't have a problem coming out...and it depends on what you have as far as species and size...check around and see if you have ppl around you looking to do the same and who they are looking at to do the work

If you have nice Walnut logs or really nice hard maple trees i know a logger that may be interested. He does a 70/30 split on veneer and 64/40 on saw logs with the land owner. The land owner gets the higher percentage.

Thanks, My idea is to have 2-5 acres logged out & convert into a food plot. Its a mix of maple, oak, beech & pine. Property is all timber and so is the next few square miles around us for the most part, I think it would be great for the deer & spring gooblers!!
