Just make sure they are legit....

I caught a turkey guide a few seasons ago... road cruising with a Florida client....he stopped his truck along the camps property...responding to my calling

Because I use my natural voice and not a commercial call they got out of the truck....imagine the surprise when I popped up out of the brush....He tried smooth talking out of it....long short....busted!...his client wasn't to happy looking about it either

Found out there were several such " Guides " hitting deer camps in the southern tier....

the 80 yr old guy from Florida had no clue and I gave info to the DEC when I called and asked about guides...They were the ones that told me of the problem....We see the DEC vehicles a lot more during hunting seasons now...the area has many non resident large hunting camps...we are some what lucky...in having a residence right next to ours...we share the drive... Lots of problems when one has a lot of road frontage...both here and camp we have frontage on two roads..

Are there any located on Long Island anyone recommends??? I'm looking to go out this year for the first time for turkey. Preferably here in Suffolk on the east end on the state lands if they allow. Not sure how it works. But I'm willing to learn.
