I'm missing the bear and coyote as well. This past season I missed a coyote during bow season that was directly below my treestand...I still don't know how I missed??? I've never seen a bear in the woods by me and I checked the DEC website, I believe that they stated theres only one bear per square mile in 4f. I will be going to Maine this August and with any luck I'll bring one home!!

Who determines the NY slam? Not sure why a coyote would be in it? If the coyote is in, why isn't the fox and/or bobcat as well? I could see Deer, Bear, Turkey.

Hopefully in December, I will complete the North American Cat Slam.  I have a Mt. Lion (Arizona) and Bobcat (Minnesota), heading to British Columbia in December to try to shoot a Lynx.

I determined the NY slam....I was just curious to see who took all these animals in NY and it doesn't have to be in the same year.  I threw coyote in there simply because its the largest of the "small game" predators.

All except bear for me. I too have never seen one in NY, I only saw some tracks 2 days after gun season closed.

I almost had a NY canine slam this year, but couldn't find a grey fox and they're usually what I see the most of.

Biz-  best of luck on the N. American Cat Slam! I'm extremely jealous! I want to see some pics. Especially the Lynx!
