Your Biggest NY Buck

middleguy 10 point 18" spread last day of season 2015 Dellaware County by Green County. Total fluke just walking through the open woods at 10:00. Circled around him and he walked right up to me. The locals say he's the biggest one in 20 years in my area. Not bad for a cityit. Moral of the story late season bucks do happen and don't give up until the end. I have a 9 in my area but I am taking off  this weekend to let the woods cool down and next week taking off Thursday and Friday off. If it's meant to be it will be.

My best to date. Taken in the pouring rain on the second day of the 2011 gun season. He was trailing four doe, one of ran straight to me after I dropped the buck at 75 yards. Dropped the doe right at the base of my stand. Definitely a memorable day.

This is the one that started an obsession that lasted 10yrs. 167 knocked down to a 162 5/8 after deductions. He’s a main fram 10 with an 11 kicker. Never even heard of pope & young until I shot this one

Biggest one ł've knocked down so far.

Opening day 2012, got em not even 10 minutes into legal light sitting in my great uncle's treestand.

My Uncle Jack isn't with me anymore, lost him in 2014 but ł hunt that stand for him at least once every year.

How long did your taxidermist take to do that deer? Just trying to determine if you can grow a beard faster than I can

My biggest was taken this year Monday morning after opening weekend. My first 8pt. Although I should be smiling in the pic, I could not be happier with the harvest. He is a small deer compared to most of the monsters on here but is a trophy to me. imageproxy.thumb.jpeg.cc3f70e64d68e04f80633c0e9a1222ec.jpeg

That is a GREAT buck for the area you hunt down the road from my cabin. Congrats Sean on a beauty.

Thank you very much Sean. We definitely don't see many big deer taken by us. I'm extremely lucky and was in the right place at the right time.

Biggest rack. 142# dressed 3 1/2 YO.

Biggest body 219# dressed, 46" heart girth 4 1/2 YO.

Best over all (toss up)

43" heart girth. Rack is  slightly smaller than the 8-point in the 1st picture. Shot on November 29. 3 1/2 YO. Would probably have dressed as heavy as the big 4-point if I had shot him as early in the season.

This years buck 205# dressed. 10-point rack about the same size over all as the 8-point pictured directly  above 4 1/2 YO.

By score, this guy.   135 7/8" and 340lb stud (2 legged).  Lol.  Enough of the past, time to move on to the next challenge!

Don't you realize that those "primitive" bows aren't effective hunting tools?
