Hamlin Beach Area

Has anyone fished up near the Hamlin Beach State Park Area up on Lake Ontario? Got any spots or tips? 

We will be camping in the park Labor Day Weekend and my daughter and I would like to hit up some fishing does not matter what species it would be nice just to get out.

Hamlin is good trolling in the spring and fall. If you are using a boat I would go out of Sandy creek or Bald Eagle marina in Kendall both will get you to some good fishing spots.if you are looking for bass out of Sandy one spot is to find the crib for the Brockport water plant or any of the rockey points

No boat unfortunately

Seeing you have no boat I would recommend going to Oak Orchard creek it’s about 20 min. west from Hamlin Beach Park.

There’s a pier at the east end of Hamlin Beach.  We used to fish for browns in the fall do really well. I would have to think there’s bass around it this time of year …
