RangerClay
I need new rubber hunting boots in the worst way. Unfortunately they're not on sale in the summer, but they are now. If I go pick them up, is there a way get rid of that new rubber smell quickly?
NYbuck50
i just bought a new pair. 28 bucks for the all black version, couldnt beat it. Mine had that rubbe smell, so i wore them out not hunting in the woods a few time. An hour or two walking through the mud and creeks and no rubber smell. TheCuse
great question, ive wondered the same thing for years. genesee_mohican
I would get a bucket of water and a box of baking soda and scrub them up good on the outside. Then use some spray scent remover on the inside. This should help remove most of that new boot smell.
Culvercreek hunt club
I woud do just a GM said. However you won't get rid of all of it. It sn't just coming off the surface. it is off gassing components used to make them and that is IN the material and working it's way out. Happens with all stuff. (think new car smell or new carpet or paint in you house). The only thing that will do 100% is time. I would scrub them and just as NY Bbuck said, gett'em dirty.
