They shouldn't apologize for sh!t. If it was that important to the area, the gov't would have outlawed it. I know this comes across as insensitive, but we don't apologize to Muslims every time we eat pork or Hindus for eating cows. If you believe certain things, then you should follow them, if you don't you shouldn't have to apologize to those that do.

By definition, holy means set apart unto the Lord.  I will not debate religion on a forum though.  You can reach your own conclusion as you choose.

I guess one's definition depends on one's beliefs.  The biblical definition is different than secular in that it applies only to God identified in the the Bible and its pretty obvious where I fall on that issue.  Clearly others view things "holy" that are not so identified in the Bible and YES I truly believe in the narrow definition set for the in the Bible.  I will not further debate this issue as I am not here to convince anyone.
