He's still using his trusty Ithaca 20-gauge.

Dick Culkin, of Onondaga, holds up two nice pheasants he shot recently near Baldwinsville.

Culkin, 80, retired principal at West Genesee Middle School, still manages to get out as much as possible to hunt these days. He travels to Vermont to hunt with one of his sons, and locally with friends and former students.

These two pheasants he shot were raised by the Onondaga Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs at their pheasant rearing facility at the Jamesville Correctional Facility. He shot them with his trusty Ithaca 20-gauge pump shotgun.

Culkin is a sure shot. He hasn't missed a bird in two years.
