Double Turkeys In The Air!!

Recommended Posts

Seems he was just driving by and seen the flock, hopped out and shot? Not thinking the flock would have stood there, watch him park, get his gear ready walk a few yards and then flush. Not something I'd be proud of, let alone share.. only watched the first part, so if I'm mistaken, my apologies.

Or-- for the easiest Turkey around- just hunt at Four Seasons High Fence operation..

Shot two turkeys on the wing and somehow shooting them standing still would have been better.

The spring vs fall argument I understand and agree with.

But somehow shooting flying turkeys bad.

But walking turkey good.

This place funny sometimes.

They definitely sail off sometimes never to be found. Not a wing shooter myself, but swing away if you feel froggy.

To attempt  Wing  Shots- you need to be at least an Average Clay Pigeon Shooter or better. I have shot many 25 Straights  in Skeet and at least 4- 100 Straights starting out at age 11.

If one does not possess  good Wing Shooting skills- don't  attempt  it.  I have taken a good 4 or 5 Fall Turkeys down over the Decades.

They drop easily. If one can wing shoot a Pheasant- a Wild Turkey is a snap.

As Famed Turkey Hunter- Dwain Bland said of wing shooting Turkeys-- Easy Pickins.

Definitely- To Each- Their Own.

Looks like a great way to wound a bird. Not something I’d be proud of.

If you have the necessary  Wing Shooting Skills-- it is most Easy. Very proud of the 4 or 5,I shot down . Of course,I have been Hunting Pheasants  for- my 49th year here and probably  killed close to 1 Thousand Pheasants I tabulate.

 Definitely- To Each Their Own.
