Update more here: http://www.dec.ny.gov/permits/6099.html

New lifetime sporting license purchasers can opt to have icons added to their NYS Driver license when you purchase your lifetime sporting license. You may choose to get your new DMV ID immediately, for a fee of $12.50, or wait for your next license renewal at no charge.

If you already have a lifetime sporting license, you may login into the Online Sporting License Sales System, as of Feb 1, and request a new driver license or non-driver ID with your lifetime sporting credentials.

You dont think they already can? Come on man, take the tin foil hat off. Your DL is already connected to your hunting license, and the rest can be cross referenced. LOL, conspiracies....

Not me, my drivers license is wrapped in tin foil.

The program, known as the New York State Adventure License, would be optional and would only be open to those who purchase "lifetime" sporting licenses or passes, not those with day or annual permits. Sportsmen and women would be able to add an inscription noting their various permits on their driver license when they renew with the Department of Motor Vehicles.

I have a 3 yr old and want to buy his lifetime for him but with all this states BS idk if its worth the risk of them saying its no good anymore or making up so many rules it would be hard to hunt period Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk

I got my daughter one already, the cost is only going to go up plus if she hates hunting there is always fishing.

Only way I'll approve is if he makes lifetime license rates affordable.

I'm hoping since he is just so stupid and seems to not know anything except how to take away rights, that he will reduce to hunting price for lifetime to $150, and I buy it while I can. :wishfulthinking:

I have a 4 y/o and I've been waffling on the same thing.  Last spring after the unSafe Act passed I decided instead of giving the $350 to NY I'd give it to the NRA for a Life membership for him instead.  Since then we have been giving serious thought to relocating somewhere out of NY, so I'm hesitant to drop a bunch of money on a license he'll probably never use.
