Winchester is having a recall on 22 ammo. Some lots may have been double charged with Powder. Contact Winchester to see if any you have may be involved and how to handle it.

Oh come-on....... Are you serious? ...... Double charged? How the heck does that happen? I have to say that ever since I went through that fiasco of trying to exchange ammo with the visibly mangled cases (I took a horrible beating on that one), My confidence in Winchester ammo has gone down the drain. I was amazed that such stuff could get through the quality control. And yet it did. Now they are creating unsafe loads? I don't know what has happened to them, but it certainly isn't good.

A couple months ago I was at the reloading bench and had a dud 22. I pulled it apart. Like many cartridges, I was surprised at how little powder there was in a standard 22LR. I wonder how many hit the market?

I haven't used Winchester ammo in about 10 or 12 years. I bought a box of 150 gr. .308 SuperX and had 4 misfires, maybe 5. I couldn't believe it. Then a friend of mine last year had several misfires using the same thing.
