John Wick carries around pockets full of gold coins, like Nomad.  He isn't concerned with ammo prices - and he knows a guy.

Ok but destroying the basement floor every time you need some has to get old

Also I'm in the woods. 70° and wind blowing, and the sun is roasting me

Corey is at pine where he saw the does this morn.

The smallies were hitting ok after lunch.  I landed 5 or 6 on the 1/8 oz bucktail jig, which was the only “deer” action I saw so far today.  It just didn’t feel right being out there fishing on opening day of NZ rifle season.

I am back out in the woods now, waiting on an elusive Adirondack fork horn, so I can see what this 30/30 hype is all about.  One things for sure, I’ll hear them coming a mile away in these crunchy leaves.

Perch are gone wild on Oneida right now. But my freezer is fish rich from this summer, so need to bank some venison. And that 30/30 will do all you need it to. It's my go to gun for deer. Mine is sighted 1" high at 100. 7de22404f9528e4a41b26a9047b015e9.jpg

Saw 2 doe and a coyote this morning and I saw another coyote late last night and it decided to pop a squat on my deck. He was sniffing around, bet there was a bunny under there.

I sighted in my father in law’s scoped Marlin right on at 50 yards.  That’s where the backstop is at the range up here and that is about as far of a shot as I could get at most of the places I hunt up here.

My open-sighted one is also on at 50 yards (within 1/2”), after a little adjustment a couple weeks ago.  I only use that up here if it’s raining or below freezing out, so it won’t be used until after Thanksgiving this year (if I still have a tag).

The way he was running around, setting off all my motion lights, you would have thought it was a little puppy dog. At one point he was literally 5 ft from me looking through the front door. Have some great video of him.

Ain't no flies on the 30-30, out to 150 yards or so...However there are are probably 50  +other chamberings that you could say that about...The  main appeal of the 30-30 is the  light, fast handling little carbines that it is usually chambered in..
