The race course will take runners up the Lake Street hill with its inspiring views of Lake Ontario.

<p>The third annual 'Run for Dennis' 5K takes off at 10 a.m. Saturday in front of Gibby's Irish Pub on Lake Street, just down the hill from Breitbeck Park in Oswego.</p>

<p>The race is being held in honor of Dennis Pacheco, a well-known Oswego resident and retired licensed reactor operator at the James A. Fitzpatrick Nuclear Power Plant who died of bladder cancer. Proceeds from the race will go toward bladder cancer research.</p>

<p>The race course will take runners up the Lake Street hill with its inspiring views of Lake Ontario, the break water and the light house, winding in between the baseball fields and the park's parking lot.</p>
