Started out today in New Jersey for their Fall Wild Turkey opening Day. Tremendous  Sign on this Multiple  Use Area!  Unfortunately- Nada today. 11th day out for the Big Birds between NY + now NJ.

I returned  to NY and picked up Sweet ABBEY and off to the Pheasant  Fields we went. Good Friend Chris was there as well. ABBEY flushed up a Hen Pheasant out of some heavy vines and Chris connected on this one. Another Hen exploded out of the Hardwoods  from ABBEY'S  Hot Pursuit. Both Chris and,I missed with plenty of Hickories in the way.

Now getting back to New Jersey. I tried one last area and caught  movement  from 80- 90 yards below. A Man was Hiking off Trail and Walking up my way.

HELLO said,I.  Now this Guy who turned out to be a Hell of a nice Guy had a Camo Hat. A light Suede or Leather  Long Jacket and Blue Jean's. He carried a Big Green Shopping Bag.

He said he was out and exploring the Woods. Anything interesting went into that Green Bag. Extremely  Intelligent  and Likeable  with a Booming High Pitched Voice and you would like him too.

For 15 minutes,I received an overview of this area of New Jersey.   I was going to leave soon anyway. Oh- and he was happy,I unloaded  right away.

So,I had a interesting day Hunting in 2 States.  4.20pm now and going for a Bike Ride. Hope Y'ALL Enjoyed this Thread.  Later.

I see you spend lots of time on small game hunting. just wondering  did you ever do the same for deer? I mean do you ever  Scout spots out for deer hunting on public land? Or are you just not into it?

Not much into the Deer hunting. Very similar  to many here who hunt May 1st for Spring  Gobblers and call it a season and go Fishing instead.
