Something like you posting your non US citizen socialist politics on a USA hunting forum!!

Al

Hey Al - nice to hear from you. Hope you're doing well.

Socialist politics? The last time I was accused of being a Markist, so I guess I'm doing a little better in your eyes. The difference between me and Oz is that I'm not running for office. I'm also taller, but I think he has better hair and more money.

Did you know that John Wayne's nickname came from his childhood airedale, "Duke"? How cool is that?

North, I just realized that you're the Ted Lasso of the forum.

Walker is unfit by any and every standard. I don't know if it's a result from his football days (if so, he has a good case against the NFL), but he is abjectly stupid.

Fetterman is easy to understand. Given the choice between a local boy with some health issues and a carpetbagging snake-oil selling fancy lad from the big city (and not even a PA city), the decision from voters was expected.

This election was a complete repudiation of Trump and the batshit crazy GQP.

At a certain point, you have to take a hard look at the piled-up losses and come to the realization that maybe it isn't the other guys (or the myriad excuses that grouse is clutching at) ... maybe it's us. I can assure you that the powers-that-be at the RNC are looking at that. If Trump announces tomorrow, prepare for the near destruction of the GOP in a Thunderdome-like shitshow.

Hmmm!   Interesting!!!    It certainly did not go that way when HRC came to NYS to be our Senator!  Hypocrisy?

Surely , youre not suggesting that Herschel Walker is more unfit  to serve than clearly demented Biden and stroke damaged Fetterman- no way!!!

Lemme put it to you this way: if those 2 buffoons (i.e., Biden and Fetterman)are fit to serve , then ANYONE is fit and qualified to serve for public office!!   Hell, based on the results , thats the way the electorate wants it so fine by me!!

BTW, whos Ted Lasso?

:D

There was a time in this country when voters would base their decision on who offered better policies for the country.  Those days are long gone.  Today they vote for whoever promises to pander to their interests the most, even if that will destroy the country.

That's the stupidity that cannot be fixed.

So you agree that carpetbaggers should be run out of town on a rail? Okay.

Or is the point that the people will vote for who they want to vote for and it's up to to figure out why? Fetterman is easy to understand. So is Clinton.

I'm not sure I understand the hypocrisy.

I took no position on the "carpetbaggers".  You previously stated:

"I did say that:

a) Walker is stupid. Uniquely so;

b) Fetterman won because the people rejected a TV personality who was clearly a grifter and carpetbagger. Given the choice, they chose."

I simply raised the question of whether calling him a carpetbagger was hypocrisy, since HRC did the same thing.

Yet again you prove your point by being a perfect example of the behavior you criticize.

But I wasn't commenting on Clinton. Nor have I ever.

Are you defending Oz for being a carpetbagger as there are/were others in the political realm of this country with the "they started it" tactic or criticizing me for calling someone a carpetbagger without listing every carpetbagger throughout history in the footnotes?

Honestly, I think I just like saying "carpetbagger."

1 problem with your assessment of his criticism of said “ behavior”: Grouse os a Republican who supports policies promulgated by Conservatives . These policies will not destroy the country as per the additional criteria put forth in his post ; the Dems policies , however , will and are currently :D .

I actually don’t have a problem with carpet bagging , perse and think Oz was a stud , yet Clinton was , well …. Not . Embarrassingly enough , back in the day , I actually voted for her over Rock Lazio when she ran for the senate in NY - imagine that!! Lol. Yup, it’s true !! I used to be a lib !!!

Nah, his posts don’t suggest a thoughtful, level-headed conservative. Endless copy/pastes of conspiracy theories suggest an isolated and fearful far right radical. The GOP seems to want to escape from the stranglehold that these nut jobs have on the party. It’s odd to see you double down on them.

Northcountryman's assessment of acceptable policy behavior reminds me of the old conservative Reich mantra.

And just like that the leftists suckered the dimwitted demodupe serfs for their votes again with Free college tuition and bringing back their "Right" to abort babies , then announcing that they really can't help them with those issues on Nov 9th.

World class suckers.

Hopefully the blue states have prepared the help centers with extra help for the onslaught of calls after Trump announces he's putting his hat in the ring for 2024 tonight.

I'm always amazed when people are aware of all the problems their preferred elected officials create, but still support them and defend them when they're challenged.  Analytical minds examine the problem and the alternatives and can see solutions, so they can defend their political preferences.  Sadly the people  who can do that, are often not capable of being understood by the low IQ voters they speak to, who will resort to ad hominem attacks against them because they know they cannot win the debate with facts and data.  In politics, only results matter.  That's why I don't support leftist politicians.
