Last night out with Mrs Crappy
Pictures live up to my name!
Grilled Octopus and greens:


Duck breast; potatoes au gratin; spinach


Carrot cake:


Wife had a pear/arugula salad and a mushroom risotto.

Meal was good but “good” bothers me when I’m out dropping $150 on a meal(wife had a glass of wine- I’m on the wagon). My wife and I could and have (minus the duck which I wasn’t impressed with to be honest) make each of those better.

Just not worth it to me

I would only spend that kinda money on a meal for a good cause/reason.To myself thats a fare amount of grocery buying and know what it is your eating by cooking at home.

It has been over a month now since we ate our last vacuum-sealed BB roast from (2) seasons ago and I am starting to go thru some withdrawl.

Agree. I coach three seasons of sports and often that is the “go to” gift card for the town so they start to stack up a bit since it really isn’t my style.

Caraway seeds flank steak and horseradish? Woodcock brewing makes a killer pizza like that. We knocked it off a few times. Excellent!

Dandelion greens picked last Spring sauted in olive oil...sweet onions...garlic...salt...and pepper.  Toped with parmesean cheese with fresh pita bread.
