The box is cool, but how was the pizza?  The pizza I've had in upstate NY is pretty bad, I can imagine how it must taste in Alaska.  LOL

Here we go again Upstate vs Downstate. Steve863 you must have eaten at the wrong place. I agree there are those up here that suck but others are excellent. In my trips to the city I have had the same experience, good and bad.

As far as Alaska pizza goes I will let you all know soon. Other than deer season here I'll be living and working there for the next two years..

With the way things go here in NY with the city dictating how Upstate lives, I may just stay there for good. No matter what the pizza is like there. lol Time will tell.

No, not making this upstate vs. downstate, although I've had more bad tasting pizza upstate, than I have downstate.  Just wanted to know how the pizza from that box up in Alaska was.  If it sucked, one might as well start firing at the box without taking the pizza out.  LOL

I believe that the major difference maker in the taste of pizza is the water.  Florida for example, has horrible pizza.  Just like bagels.

X2 my neighbor's brother Brooklyn born and raised moved it CA. opened up a pizza store and the pizza did not taste right, he had some one send a 5 gal. jug. of NY city water to him and ( Bingo ) that was it. And the locals loved it.

But you down staters are for getting that your City Water comes  from Up State New York.

The people upstate don't necessarily drink that same water, however.  Many people upstate have well water only, or from other sources than the upstate reservoirs that NYC gets it from.

Thanks OMG. I was going to post that exact same thing but was my turn to drive on I90. No matter how you cut it the flow of water does come from Upstate. The city only provides the few big "drips" that run the state. Hahaha!

While it has some to do with the water it also has to do with the bacteria in the air. For example pizza sucks in San Francisco but the sour dough and bread is better there because of the salt water/ bacteria in the air. I guess that's what's great about this world, you have to travel to really experience and enjoy everything. I think I'm gonna mention the pizza box to a couple of our small mom and pop places. It might just take their business to a new level.

I have had pizza in Juneau..

By far the worst pizza I have ever had.. Saying it SUCKED was a gross understatement.

The chicken wings suck, too, and so does the barbeque.

The reindeer sausage is very good, however, as is the beer battered halibut and steamed king crab legs.

I'm not sure this is such a good idea.

Violent crime may become more likely in households with empty sheet pizza boxes at the curb with groups of 24" or more across the box.

On the other hand, a small personal pan pizza box with the center punched out could be a good deterrent to any "would be perpetrators"!

It's just that aren't many BUSHES anymore..Seems to be the fashion trend these days..

How great would it be to see a major pizza chain in NY do this?? Or better yet, have them come out with a pizza box dart board target with LiL King Andy's face on it ? I know it will never happen, but that would be some funny stuff.
