I was just think about this after reading the latest Outdoor News, it seems your stamp will be the first one at the new price of $25.00 as well as the first available via online sales..........good stuff.

Yes, it is the first $25 stamp. This seems like a harsh jump, but the last time the stamp went up in price was 1991. Inflation is a nasty beast, and $15 in 2015 is just not as powerful as it was in 1991 for doing conservation work, much of which is land acquisition and easements. If it kept up with inflation fully, the stamp would actually be at around $26.

Jennifer,

Are you selling signed prints of this artwork? I would be interested in one.

I am, there is more info on my site here: http://featherdust.com/duckstamp/

Also if anyone buys an extra stamp that they want signed, I will do that at no cost as long as one includes a self-addressed/stamped envelope for me to return it.

You can get the self-adhesive (shown above) from most post offices (call first, some don't carry it) and sporting goods counters.

If you are a collector and prefer the gummed style, you can order them:

http://www.fws.gov/birds/get-involved/duck-stamp/buy-duck-stamp.php

If you want an artist-signed stamp and aren't local, get in touch with me and I will help you out!

We're also having a hometown event to celebrate the stamp release here in NY. It will be in the Olean/Westons Mills/Portville area on July 18th. It's free and open to the public, and we'll have special cancellations available, signing, and some pretty nice raffles. Bass Pro donated a bunch of really nice stuff to this so we have stuff like a nice trailcam, a nice goose call, some hunting gear, etc. Cutco also donated a really nice hunting knife.

The information taught in this free course will be very valuable in understanding the complex layers of science, politics, and controversies inherent to setting hunting policy. NY Dove Hunting recommends and hopes our members take advantage of this free course. Remember this is a free course without a grade, so like anything else, the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it.

Had a great hunt today with my buddy John. We managed to scratch out a two man limit of teal,
      mallards and ring neck ducks.

We want to close our mute swan petition this month and ask for more people to help out by signing it and encouraging others to sign it. We will be launching a petition to legalize dove hunting in the near future and certainly hope the response is much better than we have had with the mute swan issue.

For those of you  think we are a lone wolf in this hunt, read the first link below from Maryland DNR. This has been brewing in the Atlantic Flyway for some time, including a supreme court decision in our favor. However, in NY, the legislature sided with animal rights organizations over the DEC, FWS, Atlantic Flyway Council, Universities, and large conservation organizations. The second link below is to the petition. You can read the signatures and see if you know anyone. Rick McGovern and Tom P, from this site who run the Crossbow Coalition have signed it. Rick is also on our face book page, by the way. The president of the NY Trappers Association has signed, So have many others you all know. Please also sign and share right away.

Refer to this: http://www.dnr.state.md.us/dnrnews/infocus/comments.html Please sign this petition to allow NY's state wildlife agency to continue to make management decisions about mute swans that are consistent with the rest of the Atlantic Flyway Council. In addition to the importance of eradicating this deleterious introduced species; interference with policy regarding mute swans can set a precedent for politics to guide policy regarding other alien species and ultimately, all native species as well. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/832/485/616/veto-s-065889-a-and-a-08790-a/
