Scary scene but nothing turned up.

[First-light]

I pulled off 86 at the Bath Hamonsport Exit and got off the ramp. The river is to your right and I see a deer walking in circles in the river. I watch for 30 seconds and say got to call DEC. When they have EHD this is what they do. Got through to DEC they get my number and send out the call. 2 hrs later DEC officer calls me asking for location. We pin it down and he goes to work. Calls me back 1/2 hour later saying he didn't see anything. Better that than finding it with EHD. At the end of our conversation I ask him if the crossbill was signed and he said heck no I'd be the first to know! lol

EHD would be a good possibility with this dry hot summer we're having. We sure don't need that.
