Fletch
http://www.erh.noaa.gov/nerfc/graphics/snowmaps/html/snow_depth.html This comes in handy. You can check an area you may hunt but not be near. It is updated every day. I am in the nice bright orange right now. yik. :
5.9cummins
I hope they mean depth after compaction. Because that is no where near the total fallen. Got family outside Syracuse and they got better than double what is shown and i know south towns of buffalo would laugh if you showed them that . Jennifer
Not sure how accurate that is. I live in a 'white' area and I'll tell you we have at least 24" out there right now!
Fletch
It is compacted depth so what is actually on ground. Can not say how accurate everywhere but I had over 50 inches fallen (Buffalo who?) but have about 30 on ground after settling so it is close where I am. mossy725
This map is no where close to being accurate.
Culvercreek hunt club
I must suck at judging distance ...lol.. 6" is up to the middle of my calf. I bet it is hard to define on a map during a lake effect even. It can change a lot in just a few miles down the road

mossy725
The South Buffalo area and Catt. County area (Randolph) that got hammered with 50+ inches, is off by, well close to 50 inches. It's not accurate at all. :

Culvercreek hunt club
wonder how accurate it is.. It is off at my location by about 6" oh, so pretty accurate lol : I have refered to it before and it usually isn't off by too much. It is a lot better when a general snow fall happens. lake effect really throws it off. It must use spotter reports and interpolate the depth lines.
