I just bought my hunting license yesterday. I had a feeling- this might happen. The regulation guides did not make the scene. The clerk did not know when they would get them! Hopefully by Friday.Just have to keep going back or snag one at walmart as they go quick when they do come in!

any one know why if you have a life time license they have not got them in the mail  ???

 

or do you now have to go to Walmart for the total license ????

Lifetime licenses don't seem to ever be the first ones out of the gate. I don't know why. They could be all printed up, stamped, stuffed in envelopes and ready to put on the mail truck the initial day of license sales. But for some reason they seem to drag their feet a bit on those. I remember last year I was getting quite concerned before mine finally came.

As of right now this morning we have plenty of regulation books and the DECALS system is running fine...of course that could change any minute...as far as knowing the rules its posted on the DEC website and if you have a smart phone I strongly urge you to download the new free app...Pocket Ranger...very useful

This info is good for the people that have computers and apps. But there are a number of hunters that do not.And  do not intend on getting one.                                                                    In the past when we went to buy our hunting/ fishing lic.they handed you the booklet with the lic. before you left.

Thought I was the only one..? Last year's coupon was great, this year's not so much. $10 off $50 purchase expiring 12/31/15. On page #5 of printed booklet. If I recall, it wasn't available on e-booklet last year, so may be same for this year's.

I got mine and Jim got his  as well  they seemed to have a good supply...I have to give the clerk credit for I always say 8X first for it's a difficult tag to get with a low 2nd tag chance and forgot when I told her 8M and 8X...she reminded me of that and that 8M was medium on second chance...Why you may ask...because several years ago the DEC screwed up and the deer take was high followed by one of the blizzards...they are still trying recover from that Boo Boo...I never forget....though I think they need reminding that many of us do not forget...
