I should say or ga.

My first gun I went deer hunting with I Barrowed

Didn't see anything that day. But as soon as I got

Out of the service I bought a new mod. 94 win 30 30 . And that is what I got my first deer with. 5 pt.er.

My first was shot with a paper cased Super x 12 gauge slug from a Winchester M37 single shot.

My first deer with a RIFLE ( PA) was taken with a 7 x 57  175 grain factory load from a sporterized M 1895 Chilean Mauser..  I had bought the rifle for $35 from a surplus store, and my dad and I shortened the barrel, cut down the stock and I had the bolt altered and safety replaced.. In other words, we BUBBA'd the hell out of it.. Nonetheless it shot well and I shot several bucks with it..

I wish I had it today in its original, unaltered condition, because it was a fine specimen.

12ga foster slug from a mossberg 500. 23 years ago.

I spined an enormous doe. I had to finish her off with a knife since the gun jammed. She was bawling and trying to get up. An awful first experience for a 18 year old but it made me the hunter I am today. I don't rush shots and if I can't see vitals the deer walks.

First deer was with a High Country Sniper compound bow.

First gun deer was with a .12ga Marlin model 55 bolt action. I've taken many deer with that gun and got so proficient with it that I could shoot double skeet with it
