Another buck just wandered thru nose to the ground but don't ya know the wind switches and slightly blows his way . He paused then took trail higher up the hill from me. Alot of movement so far but my luck is not there

It seems the guys hunting in regions 7 and less are seeing more activity then the people in 8 and especially 9.

Had 5 deer come past this am between 8-9, one spike grunting and following a doe and fawn.

Sitting here watching the squirrels and they all move behind me. I hear something in front of me and I'm starting to get excited. Nope not a deer, just a quail. I haven't seen one in ages so it was quite the nice surprise.

So what do you get with a reverted hay field turned to chopped corn and then injected with 20 tankers of shite?

 

A barren bordering wood lot ....I sat for the first time in one of my favorite stands on the back property...I have NEVER sat that stand with out seeing deer........ be them in range, out of range, in hunting times, or out...pileted wood peckers and squirrels abound and the oak..only one in a 7 acre area is dropping lots of acorns.... 

Oh well at least I know the change in their travel pattern and have stands there as....... well just haven't gone to them yet...

Gosh it is just a beautiful place to sit in the afternoon though.....

Just my opinion , but give it a few days , if he whitens up good as he dries , all good .... But I prefer loosing the lower jaw when hanging a euro ... Congrats though !!!

Peroxide and borax laundry detergent makes a nice paste for whitening if you decide to try it, cheap too.

Tomorrow should be good got a storm moving in the weather should be cooling down. Lot of deer movement this morning hopefully the same for tomorrow. Fresh rub on the tree near my stand that was literally not there yesterday.
