Nature: The Private Life Of Deer

 

I watched this today on Netflix Streaming. It was pretty cool to watch, and has some insight to how the Whitetail Deer act. How they see ( which isn't very well ), smell, and hear things. Big thing was some of it was shot right here in NY.

I've watched it a couple times.  Very good documentary about deer.

 

Cayuga heights, which they reference multiple times throughout the video is close to where I work in Ithaca.  They are not exaggerating about the deer population at all.  Its kind of weird having to watch out for deer when doing 10 mph in a parking lot.

Our daughter works at the college and every spring she has to remove 1-2 curled up fawn in the parking lot before leaving to go home or arriving in the morning....she just gets them on the lawn and goes to work...

^{I work at Cornell and live a stones throw away from Cayuga Heights, The deer here in this part of town are almost like pets, couple yrs ago I had 2 nice 10pts sparing in the front yard. We have acorns and apple trees in the front yard and u can see deer there almost 24/7. We have a big bodied fork that will eat out of your hand. Too bad because we are in the city limits you cant hunt them.}
