Ive got to pick a form and would like a pedestal mount. Im trying to find pics of finished ones but its tedious. If anyone has one Id love to see it, so post em up! Im looking for the "shoulder to the wall" type mounts

Thanks! He's certainly unique. Had a busted up leg that healed up but it was too short to walk on so his hooves were 6" long, his left hind leg. He wasn't even limping. Tough critters!

I just called Bernie Seitz yesterday with my choice in forms for my buck......IIRC (   I'm old and pretty forgetful) I told him 9500 Full Wall Pedestal Semi Sneak from Joe Coombs left looking.  He said I should have it by the end of the month or early March.

IIRC correctly, Pygmy has a couple awesome wall pedestal mounts.  It'd be great if he could hang a couple pics.

That's a good question. I can try and take a look at my catalog when I get home later. I'm 90% sure it was a McKenzie even though Vandykes and McKenzie are the same. I'll check the catalog and let you know all the specs

I had the taxidermist add it, I feel like it makes it more of a scene than just a deer pasted up on the wall. There are a lot of options also.

Unfortunately I am technologically impaired..Maybe  one of my friends could take a couple pictures and I could post them.

 

I do have two very nice pedestal mounts, a Wyoming pronghorn and a Colorado mulie

 

Al Strouse at Strouse's Taxidermy near Lawrenceville PA  did them, along with a number of other shoulder mounts over the years.

I think the biggest question you should ask yourself is do you want a free standing pedestal like mine or a wall pedestal like some of the others.

Yeah, when I read the thread title I thought we were looking at pedestals. Wall pedestals are different.

The form is the same, I can put it on the wall or make a pedestal

I'd make a pedestal if you have space. Personally I love pedestals more. But I'm also going to be adding a worthy doe to mine once I finally get that old crusty doe that busts me every time. I really do not like her
