Nice pictures!From what I have seen some of theses look like they could be Bear scratching then of a Buck Rub.Then again where some of you hunt this could be porkipine scrathches.If indeed these are from deer very imprresive.

I don't know Dom, I haven't seen a pic posted here yet that looks like it was made by anything other than a buck.

 

It's a little ironic you should post the bear thought today though. I went out for a short hike this evening and found fresh claw marks in this tree from what I assume would have been a bear. I looked them over pretty closely and could tell something with some weight to it had been hanging from there. It was certainly no coon or porky.

We don't see many bear around my area except one or two that pass through each spring. Seeing this kinda got me feeling all excited hoping to bump into the sucker while I had the camera. I'm hoping he sticks around and shows himself now that the weather is turning nicer.

How do you get your trees to grow horizontally?

Hey, I lost the picture from post 22. Darn these new updates, John, LOL.

It's on the side of a steep hill ... Son of a gun to,use a climber on !
