The youth camps still have openings.  For those who don't know about these camps.  This is brief synopsis.

It's a total hands on experience.  There is a meet and greet, followed by lectures on Friday evening.  An Encon Officer will also come in and answer questions, etc.

On Saturday-Sunday, the students go out and learn about trap sets, locations, habitat, etc. They are divided into two groups. Land and Water.  In the afternoon they switch so each group can learn both.  In between times, there is instructions on trap prep, skinning-fleshing, boarding, etc.

On Monday, they do their final trap checks and will process any catches.  Students who aren't already certified will receive certificates after they complete some additional class room instruction.

The fee covers food costs.  Everything else is done by donations from NYSTA, their Affiliates and other sources.
