wooly
First time trying one of these double sided dudes. Had a few screw ups along the way that made him un-balanced from one side to the other, but worked through it and found a way to correct them. I've been rough sketching all my outlines and just going wherever they take me from there. Just something I decided I wanted to do from now on to make each piece unique and not just a stamped copy of the last one. Since this was just sort of a practice run, I drilled a hole in the back of him thinking he'd make a pretty cool keychain or something. Next time I'll try one of these off the base on a main beam. This one is only 4 3/4" so I'll probably need to make a few changes with technique and burrs used on the next one.

nyslowhand
Dude, you never cease to amaze me! Super cool!! Way too nice to be used on a key ring. Would look nice as an adornment for a lightweight jacket on the zipper. A cool pendant also! Giving that Dremel a workout, aren't you!

wooly
Thanks guys! After analyzing a bunch of pics of these things, I came to the conclusion they're much simpler then I originally made them out to be. So, after dinner I got to work on an old piece of 3" chewed up tine right off the main beam to test my simple-ness theory. I cranked this one out from beginning almost to completion in about 20 minutes flat! I still need to clean up some lines and touch up some details (+sand and polish), but I'm already getting the hang of these things pretty good! Here's my second eagle head with a closed mouth just to cut down on time and add a new style to the line up. He's only a 2 inch juvie bald, lol I need to figure out how to finish my eyeballs more realistically and fix that here too.

NFA-ADK
Just a thought, you could paint the eye in? Or even pain one in red and blue so it would be red white and blue! Again very cool, your talent is great! It would take me years to do this! And it would not look like those!
