Nice quiet afternoon just me and the other loons out. Hit one little smallie then headed to the weed beds for some pickerel action.

I definitely need a better boat, hopefully next year.

Got into maybe 15 bigger smallies , 2 Rockies , hammer handle northern , bunch of gobies , 5 freshwater drum ( so much better sounding than sheephead Very gingerly bouncing 3" Gulp black and white and crayfish off the bottom. We all lost a few bass and sheephead too. South gap along outer wall early and then south gap inside inner wall later. That boat hums at a good clip. 8e41eca20ed69801485221ffc6f09b47.jpg&key=8d605f3fd11268b096dba894bc808bba8d2095771a71d59687b07f8b6993f1281365cc716687c69638cb5c2bd49745db.jpg&key=02f405776b3188d6ff73acb21ae8d62d3f7be28e8e979a5c6748080ac5bcfa5845c0e41c3f6b8d9383fa07a3b855673b.jpg&key=de065edfde16bbb527b67fdb2f6d05c7c0d3f38580e8b99cf1ec49821de589c3ed18e6f15c6644065d4079c769d7d6ae.jpg&key=a2c3557056abe333b2a9d25c0af1f0b118558f8dad718b87ed4aea927c9a32f56a5884df6cd55aa3c7fcbf46ce32d729.jpg&key=d9541b1f4e75d2a6ed8a4ae133249a805a8b2333c8ffe003f3547388c538ba934ffe50bf12e45e4815b90d1336698aac.jpg&key=52e97101314df700bc4e9fa6b35e98bb9e6880a182e81c90108ca3d4eebf189fcc556d91b263d2526548fadda8f18c43.jpg&key=71c9838d040bf12bae89c2b0a2dac747dd7326fe828729f11ab4af63afa5ffcc53edf30c9c89f59ff690fe0fd2e5c8cf.jpg&key=af321dc9fe27c544390fd74fb9d2e1d8af750d4bb925fe7c38b2f688e2f7c42eee25017803bcb49799b983617f9f2577.jpg&key=52fce680d87068c12cca3a9ab841ce74e5949cceba386c3783bb0903ad8d5bbc

Now her , mama and SIL just left for Hamilton , Ontario to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I'm going to get a porcelain crown on a tooth lol.

That's totally acceptable these days right? No,no,no, that burnt to a crisp fellow is me. She wouldn't hold the giant nasty shark.

You're NOT going to need a bigger boat

I didnt take a picture like I usually do, but I got a nice fat 28" striper a couple weeks ago and last Wednesday I caught a short Fluke from a local jetty near my house. Planning to go out on Monday for more fluke...maybe Ill go for bass one more time this year.

Went to Cabela's yesterday and prepped for next couple of Lake Erie bass excursions. All my life I've never had polarized glasses. Put on daughters other day and realized what I was missing. be8a0eb3a2b200adb1f5b5e078581fb3.jpg

Good glass, is just as important for fishing, as it is for hunting!

Perfect selection of stuff to put some bronze backs in the boat!

Just noticed this thread. Finally got out there. Fished 745-10am. Pouring rain , then hot and sunny. Wind was rough for rowing. No trout, but got 3 bass (16", 17" and 18"). All released.

Daughter caught this one, I got one earlier. Had 5 more on, biting through my 40lb wire, picking up heavier wire tomorrow.

They look very similar to mine! Got plans to head up to Saratoga Lake on Wednesday though. Hoping to join the fun. Might even catch one or two!

Just thought I would share. The fish is an Irish Lord, and the fishing vessel is a crab boat headed out to sea. You just never know what you might reel in here, and the scenery is spectacular. Sitting, fishing at the end of Homer Spit, and still loving Alaska! :  )
