Hog Hunting

Recommended Posts

i have one booked for Feb 2019.  With Waccamaw hunting in South Carolina.  Havent been yet of course but did a lot of online research and reviews of this place were all great.  All said owner Rick Grubbs was a great guy and worked hard to get them on a hog.

If you book and go somewhere, would love to hear how it was. good luck

We catch them with dogs in Northeast Texas. Hunt from end of January til Sept. Usually catch 150 to 200 a year. I have never shot one but if you pour some corn on the ground where hogs are you will be successful. Spot and stalk would be pretty challenging where I'm at because of the swampy terrain where they tend to live.35c055c7b00a6bdacf1deafe0e7327ca.jpgd274aca951c104c2161ebc280b04d613.jpgd7976e23ca55f7bfaf9214783827c268.jpg9f304a12adcb540666a3ef34f0d8d251.jpg

I haven't been there in years, but it was a good hunt and I see the price hasn't moved much.

I know this was posted awhile ago but I just returned from cypress creek. Great place, great staff. Of 8 hunters, we took 2 hogs with 2 missed shots and only 1 who saw nothing over the 3 day hunt. What I learned is that their not as many as some claim, and they are extremely nocturnal. Best hunting is at night over feeders with green lights on the rifles. I’d go back.

I talked to Rick years ago about a deer hunt. I never went, but was tempted. Seemed like a nice guy
